Christmas Already?!

Its not even Halloween yet and I am knee deep in Christmas! Each year I chair an event through our local builders association where we provide Christmas toys for needy kids. We partner with Toys for Tots and take donations and applications beginning in mid-October. Its a ton of fun and a lot of work but in the end you know that you have helped make Christmas brighter for a lot of kids.

In the middle of all of this, I still have to think about Christmas for the family and friends! Thankfully, just as I was stewing over teacher gifts, Heather Manning posted a coupon code to Arts Cow on her Facebook page! Thanks Heather :) I gave teachers these mini coin bags last year and they were a huge hit! You can get 2 of them for just $4 including shipping if you use coupon code 2PURSE44 (expires 11/15) at checkout.

Its been a while since I did a blog freebie so I thought I'd share a de-personalized version of the one I made for DS's teachers this year. I used my kit Cozy Christmas which is available at Designs In Digital and Enchanted Studio Scraps. The design of the bag is a lift of the one Heather made for her kid's teachers last year. I lifted last year's design and used that as a template for this year's bag too.
You may upload this to order your own coin purse or use it as a small greeting card.

Christmas Day.

I love Christmas in our family. Well, my family. Matt's family doesnt place the same emphasis on holiday togetherness that mine does. But I've learned to be okay with that.

Christmas eve we all go to my mom's house for dinner and to exchange gifts. Its a pretty casual affair. One year we had wings and beer for dinner! This year my darling niece Olivia picked our meal and she chose a traditional ham. We all always bring a dish and my sister tried her hand at Ratatouille. It was pretty good!

Today, after opening gifts, was all about relaxation! We played with Jake and his new toys and settled in for a nice long nap after lunch. I chose to spend some of my time scrapping and discovered two new scrapping blogs that I had never seen before! Finishing a page, and feeling like its pretty is so satisfying!
