Happy Black Friday!

I love black Friday- I stay home and go no where near any mall! LOL

Today's big plan is to spend the day with my DS and 2 of my nephews. We are going to the park and making hot chocolate. Later today I plan to finish up my Christmas kit and have date night with hubby. I also plan to hit some of the big on-line sales!

My shops are having sales in honor of the biggest shopping weekend of the year. Designs In Digital will have the entire shop 35% off all weekend in honor of Black Friday/Cyber Monday. (if you check out my Facebook Fan page you might find a $1 coupon there too!)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today has been an almost perfect Thanksgiving. Our family spent the afternoon having a wonderful meal together, the kids all got along, and my pies came out great! The only thing that kept the day from being fully perfect was my dad's absence. So, after dinner my family stopped by the cemetery to wish my dad a Happy Thanksgiving. The day didn't seem complete without him, so I had to go visit. It was the first time my son had been- I'm not sure how I feel about bringing kids to cemeteries- and he handled it pretty well. He misses his grandpa more than I think I realize most of the time. Its hard to believe that its been 5 months. In same ways it still feels so fresh and in others it seems like a long time ago.

But this post isn't meant to be depressing! I was working on a layout this morning and made a little word art. Since it seemed appropriate for the day I thought I would share it with you! I am so thankful this year for my family and my friends and I hope that you will enjoy this word art! "Thankful for You" will only be free for a couple of days- I have something else planned for you soon!

New Glitters and Spam

I hate spam- not the weird breakfast meat that comes in a can- but the other kind. The ones that send you links to get viagra or clomid without a prescription or worse, the ones that put up links or pics of porn and other nasty stuff. Maybe if I was in a big hurry to have another child I might appreciate the offers for fertility drugs and little blue pills and the photos to keep things interesting....or maybe not =)

Okay...so this rant does have a point. I have been getting slammed with spam in my blog comments lately so its time for a change. I have decided not to allow anonymous comments and to require that annoying captcha thing for a little while. Hopefully, the spammers will go bug someone else and leave me alone and the blog can go back to the way it was. Not that I get that many comments, but I think captcha is annoying so I'm betting other people do too.

Now, on to my new release...The Cozy Christmas Glitters. These are for the holiday kit I am working on and I thought I would go ahead and put them in the shop a little early. They are CU/no credit required.

Need a Twilight fix before New Moon?

I confess...I am an addict. I have read the entire saga more times than I care to share. I am such a dork that I have read it while listening to the movie soundtrack and Stephenie Meyer's playlists...I know its sad. But I love a good love story and at the end of the day thats what Twilight is: Epic Love. So I was thrilled when Lisa announced the theme for this week's speed scrap! The Top 7 Fun Facts about the Twilight series. I cant wait for Wednesday night!

Busy, Busy, Busy...

Things have been so crazy on the homefront, I haven't blogged in forever. I have just started working on the annual toy drive I chair for our local builders association. Its exciting to know that these kids will have Christmas because of our hard work. Its also scary- I always worry about not having enough donations to take care of all of our kids. God has been good to us so far- every year we have had extra toys to pass along to other groups- but I still worry. On top of that I have started coaching DS's soccer team. Ever tried to coach a bunch of 5 year olds? Herding cats would be easier! But they are a great group of kids and we are having tons of fun! We have our first game on the 14th so wish us luck!

With all of the real life stuff going on I havent been able to design much. But I do have some new glitters and overlays in both shops.
